Most of my research is in visual psychophysics, particularly color detection and discrimination. I construct quantitative models and use psychophysical data to estimate the parameters of such models. Specific topics of recent interest have included multiple ("higher-order") color mechanisms, efficiency of visual detection mechanisms, edge-color interactions, and models of visual adaptation.
