I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and obesity. I am on the attending psychology staff of McLean Hospital in the department of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

One of my roles at Northeastern is to serve as liaison between students seeking advice and information about positions in clinical psychology and units at McLean and other area treatment centers seeking mental-health specialists. In addition to teaching "Human Feeding Behavior" and "Eating Disorders," I now offer a two-semester sequence for the advanced study of eating disorders in college populations. Students in these courses also participate in Northeastern Eating and Weight Concerns Project (NEWCOPE), a campus-wide education and prevention program that includes peer support and community outreach.

My other major interest is in film, and I teach courses using film to learn about psychopathology, gender, the culture of the body, and psychoanalysis.
