I am a graduate student working toward my Ph.D. in Personality and Social Psychology with Professor Randy Colvin. My research mainly focuses on the relation between self-motivation (self-enhancement vs. self-improvement) and self-perception (positive illusion vs. accurate self-knowledge), and how they are related to well-being (subjective well-being vs. psychological well-being). I will be testing the hypothesis that people who actively pursue self-improvement over self-enhancement have higher levels of accurate self-knowledge and psychological well-being. In addition, I am very interested in the concept of responsibility and its implications for mental health.
