Paul Condon
I am a graduate student working toward a PhD in Social/Personality psychology with Professor Dave DeSteno. My research interests fall under the general topic of emotion, specifically looking at the functions of discrete emotions with respect to social cognition and social behavior. In particular, my interests focus on the potential for specific emotions to enhance social relationships and well-being. For example, I am interested in studying how different positive emotions might affect prejudice and the stereotyping process. I am also interested in studying the relationship between emotion and the concepts of compassion and forgiveness.
