I am a graduate student at the Categorization and Reasoning Lab working towards my Ph.D. in cognitive psychology with Professor John D. Coley. My research interests focus on representations of individual objects, and the relationship between representations of cross-classified individual objects and categories they belong to. Currently, I am working on comparing casual structure of individual and kind representations across social, biological and artifact domains, and studying how object individuation affects generalization of new knowledge to entire categories. In addition, I am involved in a project on effects of expertise and development on folk-biological reasoning.
